All right.

I really wanted to like this game but i found it hard. I like the general idea, but heres some pros and cons:
Cons:
- I found moving around town to be far too time consuming, and the towns should be downsized, or just use an interface when entering a town. I also thought the lack of things to do in town was another reason why there should almost not be towns.

-Battle- I spent alot of time looking for the other ships rather than fighting them. I ran out of ammo really quickly because i had 12 cannons, and when i was out of it, i would try to board the enemy ship but i died every time. Maybe if the ships moved a little faster and easier, and the battle area was much larger, it would be better overall. Also i found half the time the AI ships just stuck themselves in the border of the map and i could just pick them off from a safe distance. The last thing that bothered me was the fact that every time i upgraded the ship, they upgraded too, making it almost pointless besides getting more money.

pros- the idea, and the way you laid out the map was great,. I felt i was cruising around the islands. I like the idea of upgrading ships, but maybe instead of just buying one big ship, if we could customize parts, number of sails, color of the sails, number of cannons, hull size for crew, ship protection, speed, maneuverability cannon power, theres so much that just the ship alone could add to this game that could make it a great game.

-Also maybe improving the boarding battles so the player actually gains from them. maybe even taking the enemy crew hostage and posting randsome, or converting them to your cause. Maybe the player could appoint captains and have mini ships for a fleet and use kind of a age of empires unit feel.

Now im not telling you how to make your game, but this game could be rockin if some improvements were made, maybe some customization, and some more features and benefits for the player, because i felt like i wasnt gaining ground at all. really great potential, really great. 7.5/10 (aka 8).

Original

You had me yelling at myself to get the right weight, but its mostly just guessing on when to let go. Could use something a little more.

Great game!

That 51 code had me really tweaking, i was like " What the heck do i do!" But i eventually figured it out, it was a nice touch to a game that was almost spoon fed to us on what to do. But none the less it was tricky. Really a solid game, no flaws, i didn't mind the music, sort of an ambient trance song. You deserve every start that I'm going to give you. It would be great to see another game like this.

nice

very cool.

soooo much potential

the graphics are amazing, for one. i think the music fits well with the over all theme of the game. but it seems to be missing something, that certain spark that could make this game truly amazing and a NG classic. If you came back with another one of these, maybe not so zoomed out, more background details and other things, you would be favorited instantly. more depth, is what im trying to get at here.

great potential

you could have done so much more with this game. i thought that using fists was too weak, there should be upgrades there. Also i thought that if i bought a sword, i could soon just upgrade it . i played one of the first levels a few times and had everything unlocked. I think the graphics of the character in the menu is awesome, but when i got in the game he looked like some scrunched little hobbit. I would love to see more of an upgrade system, more weapons, different effects maybe. Also a storyline could fit in very well with this game. Give it some more creativity, take your time and do it right. This game i all ready rated a 7. Do me proud and make the next game even funner and emersive

Needs Improvement

I thought this lacked a lot of originality. The characters and were a little disapointing. I could have come up with something easy like "the smoker" too. It just seemed a little -cliche? The controls were not very clean as i found myself swerving back and forth on the track trying to stay on. Also the track was a little narrow, especially for the controls you set up. When ever i looked at a weapon it reminded me of one thing-Crash Tag Team Racing. Almost all of those weapons like the rockets and the chickens and the bubbles are all just like they are in the counsel game. The music just repeated its self, it got a little wearing but nothing to bad. I also thought the view point of the game was a little odd, the topogrphical racer isn't very good for looking where you are going, but that i guess is a personal preference. You could do alot more with this, it has potential.

i liked it alot

I noticed though alot of long repetitive levels. I also glanced at the other reviews and noticed they were all saying the same thing. I aditionally found it hard getting passed the first level, It took me at least 25 tries ( not that it has nothing to do with me but other people found it hard as well). I love the music and the atmosphere the game sets is perfect. I would just like to see shorter, maybe a little easier levels. It would definitely make the game more fun if i could get somewhere. The levels take long, and not that I am already wasting time on this site, but i dont have all day to try to get passed the first ten levels or so, or however many levels there are. I am in no means a flash artist and can understand the difficulties in making a game easy enough for people like me to play, and hard enough so "hardcore flashers" can have their fun too. But thats about it. I really like this game.

i win.
